TEACHERS' VIEWS ON THE NECESSARY QUALITIES THAT SHOULD BE POSSESSED BY PRE SCHOOL ADMINISTRATORSKeywords: Preschool education , school administrators , personality , preschool education administrators. Abstract: The purpose of this study was to examine the views of preschool teachers about the qualities that a preschool administrator should possess. The study was conducted using quantitative and qualitative research methods (Instrument and focus group discussions). 62 teachers responded the survey and 20 teachers participated in the focus group discussions. Therefore a total of 82 teachers constituted the study group. Mixed method was used in the study. Scale developed by Ergin (1996) was used for quantitative data collection. Analysis and comparisons were based on aritmethic means. The qualitative data was analyzed using content analysis.“Team spirit” and “attaching importance on the human” were rated as the most desired qualities that an administrator should have while “leading” and “appearance” were rated as the lowest.
