They are also a common rhetorical device used in political discourse. Political leaders often employ metaphors to transform abstract political concepts into simple language that the general public can understand, in order to convey political information and political positions. The English translation of metaphors in the report of the 20th National Congress is crucial for building a discourse dissemination system with Chinese characteristics, spreading the Chinese voice, telling good Chinese stories, and enhancing international influence. The report of the 20th National Congress is an important report made by our party at the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and it is an important guiding document for various aspects of development.
